Need info about Tonsillitis?

Sometimes it's because of allergies. I have a friend who gets it often. She has allergies too but anytime she eats ice cream she will get tonsillitis. I believe if you 3 or more occurrences in a year they will remove your tonsils. But, it depends on the doctor because some don't believe in removing them. Once my tonsils were removed, I never had another sore throat!
